“I love hearing the excitement in someone's voice when I'm able to get them the assignment they truly desire,” says Cameron, who worked his way up from an intern to a senior recruiter at TotalMed in just 3 years. Learn more about Cameron!

Tell us about you! What are some things people might not know about you?

I was born and raised in Wisconsin, where I lived up until I moved to North Carolina two years ago. I’m love sports (Packers and Badgers, specifically), country music, and escaping to warm weather destinations whenever possible! I also may or may not have an addiction to shoes. Everyone calls me Jegs.

In 2010, I went to New Orleans and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to help with Hurricane Katrina relief.

I have a 2-year-old dog named Roscoe that is somehow a mix between a Lab and a Dachshund (don't ask me how that happened!).

And, I can play "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid on the piano & xylophone.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

I enjoy fitness and I play a lot of basketball. I love amusing card and board games (have you ever played What Do You Meme? So good). I love traveling to places I've never been and experiencing the culture first-hand. And, if I'm at home, you'll find me binge-watching Game of Thrones and making a mean Buffalo Chicken Dip.

Where do you like to travel?

My favorite places I’ve been so far are Nashville, San Francisco, and Costa Rica.

My top 3 travel bucket list places are Switzerland, Australia, and Egypt.

And the three places I most wish existed so I could visit them are Hogwarts, Westeros, and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

What are three things you couldn't live without?

Cheese curds, karaoke bars, and adventure.

What do you love about being a recruiter?

I love hearing the excitement in someone's voice when I'm able to get them the assignment they want. I love being able to actually meet the nurses I work with face-to-face and get to know them beyond some generic phone conversation. I love helping people achieve their goals, from monetary success to crossing another place off of their travel bucket list.
