Darian Herrington
Allied Recruiting Specialist
Professional Background:
Before recruiting, I spent over a decade producing reality television, where I learned how to build trust, solve problems under pressure, and manage a lot of moving pieces at once. Today I bring that same approach to recruiting as I get to know them, communicate honestly, and help them find assignments that fit their goals.
What Do You Love—or Get Most Excited About—In Recruitment?
I love getting to know the person behind the role! Everyone has a different reason for traveling, and I enjoy hearing what matters most so I can help find the right fit.
Do You Have Any Personal Connections to Nursing or Allied Health?
I don’t come from a healthcare family, but working with Allied professionals every day has given me a tremendous amount of respect for what they do. It’s so rewarding to hear their stories and be able to support them throughout their careers.
What Does the Nursing/Allied Industry Mean to You?
One of the things that inspires me is seeing how my travelers show up for others while carrying so much in their own lives. I’ve worked with travelers balancing school, raising children, caring for elderly family members, relocating across the country and still they give their all to their patients. Their daily resilience reminds me why this work matters.
Nurse Appreciation Stories and Special Shout-Outs:
I honestly appreciate all of my travelers & how hard they work all year! Many are balancing a lot at once so I’m just grateful for the trust they place in me and the small part I get to play in their journey.
Personal Background:
I’m a mama to two energetic toddlers & originally from New York. Outside of work, I’m usually with my kids, either cooking or planning our next adventure. I’m the oldest sister in my family, so that ‘big sister’ energy definitely carries over into how I support my travelers.
