Rikki Sowinski
Allied Recruiting Specialist
Professional Background:
Prior to recruiting, I was a Youth Development Facilitator in the United States Peace Corps and spent years in the hospitality industry. Those experiences taught me the value of building meaningful relationships, understanding different perspectives, and providing exceptional support to others.
What Do You Love—or Get Most Excited About—In Recruitment?
I love building genuine relationships and helping healthcare professionals find assignments where they can thrive both personally and professionally. Having lived life on the road
Do You Have Any Personal Connections to Nursing or Allied Health?
My connection to the healthcare world goes beyond recruiting. I’ve spent years traveling across the country alongside my partner, a Surgical Technologist, which has given me firsthand insight into the unique experiences, challenges, and rewards of healthcare travel.
What Does the Nursing/Allied Industry Mean to You?
The healthcare industry is about people. It’s about the skilled professionals who show up every day to care for patients, support healthcare teams, and keep healthcare systems running smoothly. As a recruiter, I have the privilege of helping these professionals find roles that fit their career goals and lifestyle. Knowing I play a small part in supporting those who care for others is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
Nurse Appreciation Stories and Special Shout-Outs:
One of the things I appreciate most about working with travel healthcare professionals is hearing their stories and seeing the impact they make in communities across the country. I’ve had the privilege of working with clinicians who step into unfamiliar environments, quickly become valued members of their teams, and provide exceptional patient care wherever they’re needed. Their adaptability, dedication, and passion for helping others inspire me every day.
Personal Background:
When I’m not connecting clinicians with their next opportunity, you can usually find me camping, exploring the outdoors, checking out new restaurants, or grabbing drinks with friends. Travel has allowed me to try (and fail) at many different hobbies, but that doesn’t stop me
